Around here, churches are locked most of the time.
Except the big ones and even some of THEM close down for lunch.
{Shakes his head, muttering “Close down for lunch…”)
So it’s quite a cool idea having a Night of Open Churches, which is tomorrow evening.
Think we might have some of that….

>Duh, you are totally right, what was I thinking? The Quin/Mar – Tin thing, I suppose. My apologies.
>St Quintin’s the one opposite the Brand behind the Hilton extension. The Cathedral is Dom St Martin.Believe me – I am ancient and very wise…;-)
>S. Quintin is the cathedral, actually 🙂 And Jb… I know.. must be like my girlfriend “I do not speak Italian”, when actually she manages the hypothetical sentences better than several italians I know…
>And Helen’s being disingenuous as usual”Don’t worry Guido, I don’t understand German either.”Don’t believe a word of it…
>Think the kick-off’s at St Quintin’s at 7:30, actuallyThat’s where we figure on starting, anyway.Definitely end up having a drink somewhere, though@ KateMs jb ALWAYS says “Let’s have a look inside. Not that it’ll be open, of course…” She right more often than she’s wrong.
>Well I plan to be at 19.30 at the cathedral (zentraler auftakt sounds good) with my little dictionary and from there… who knows.. I will probably end up lost and stranded anyway 🙂
>Seems odd that the churches are locked. Understandable if it’s at night, but are they locked during the day, too?
>I’m going too. Maybe I’ll see you, Mrs jb AND Guido. I hope so. Don’t worry Guido, I don’t understand German either.
>I think I will try to do the church tour as well, even if I barely understand a word of german… who knows, maybe see you around 🙂
