His Bobness – #1373

Easy to pick out in the Johannisnacht crowds.

Dressed against the weather. Barbour, Timberland, Jack Wolfskin et al.

All streaming in the same direction down the Augustinerstrasse as we grabbed an espresso before joining them.

Off to see His Bobness at his open air concert in Mainz last Saturday.

Taciturn as ever –  the last documented greeting supposedly dates back to Seattle in 1974 when he acclaimed the late Jimi – but his music speaks for itself.

Superb.

  1. >How I wish I could have been there. Dylan, my hero. You say Bob's versions these days don't sound like the original. What it a shock or still pleasant? Sometimes it's hard to adjust to a new version when your ears are trained to the original, DEMAND the original…

  2. >There were several good Dylan photos in the exhibit here. And for the record, I remember "Like a Rolling Stone"!V

  3. >He's "one of our boys" you know! "Lay Lady Lady" did not make your list?! We own a brass bed as a tribute to that song…

  4. >Oh no, damn! No Bootleg.

  5. >Thx for the Bootleg!
