That’s what “Haben Sie einen Schatten?” really means, but literally, it translates as “Have you got a shadow?”
The inventive folks at the Botanical Garden Summer Fete used it to nudge people towards plants that tolerate shade, with the rejoinder “Then take me!”
Smart bunch.
Bet they’ve got degrees and stuff……

I have not come across this phrase before. Will have to find an opportunity to use it.
