The American Cajun, Blues & Zydeco Festival rolled up at the Frankfurter Hof in Mainz again the night before last, with the Cajun Roosters (as always – Brit, German, Belgian, French and Scottish members), “Lil Buck” Sinegal and the Magnolia Sisters.

Usual suspects in the crowd – Martin Kijaszek (aka Billy Crash), Uwe Rumeney (carpenter par excellence) and Klaus Winkelmann, an ex-boss from way back – and what a show!

3 hours of high energy fun for €30..

Stand-out were the Magnolia Sisters.

Although they disappointed Uwe – he was expecting a bunch of blondes in short skirts with suspender belts (that was the advertising….) and reckoned he jusr got a bunch of housewives in pantyhose…
