A bit skittish, so this was the best an iPhone 14 Pro can do, given the distance.

But its real name is Kotuku (if you ignore the fact that it’s Ardea modesta and not Ardea alba) and we used to have a famous one in Mapua called Hamish.

Came every year for close to 20 years from the Karamea Inlet on the West Coast.

Then not.
