Used to be a parking bay, Covid came along and stopped inside dining, Stadt Mainz said (surprisingly, they’re normally pretty stick-in-the-mud-ish..) “Grab a spot outside your restaurant and it’s all good”

And they haven’t got round to changing their minds.
