At the toddler in the pushchair, looking quite forlorn at the pattern of Smarties sprinkled across the cobblestones of the market.

  1. >arrghh. wasted sweets! :-p

  2. >I myself just used the 5-second rule Friday at lunch when one of my grapes decided to fly off the table. I grabbed it and rolled it gently across a paper towel, then popped it into my mouth. Delicious.

  3. >this happened to me once before, when i was knee high. i had a large tube of rowntrees spilt all over the dusty grey cement ground. i felt so upset about it yet i knew it was my fault so i couldn’t complain or cry. geez, my emotions at that time was so complex that it still strikes me so vividly.

  4. >I have always thought the 5 second rule applies only to indoor floors only. I could be wrong. Cute photo, very colorful, sorry for the child’s loss. The Toddler may have learned a good lesson about gravity. 😉

  5. >What a great photo, John! The contrast of round, colorful candy against the square, grey stone is wonderful!I, too, am surprised the child didn’t scream, by the way. Very unusual!

  6. >cute photo, but sad story…
