>True love – #552

>

I’ve known Lena from across the road since she was a “littlie”, as Isla Leslie would say.

“What’s your name? What are you doing? What’s that plant?  When’s your wife home from work”

I was friends with her long before we even met her parents.

I took her out on her first date for (a very early) dinner when she was about 9, chaperoned by Ms jb’s niece. (Rumour has it that she took 2 hours to decide on which dress to wear…)

She’s 22 now, studying law in Konstanz at one of Germany’s top universities and just left for a year’s study in Istanbul.

She’s also got a boyfriend, David, Lorenz and Hildegard Schuster‘s boy.

Nice guy. A REALLY nice guy.

He’s studying economics in Maastricht and is on a year’s exchange in Bogota.

Before he left, he asked Lena’s folks whether he could plant – unbenown to Lena – some sunflower seds in the garden so that they’d bloom before she left for Istanbul.

These are they.

Now, isn’t that a nice story.

True, too…

  1. >Ah, yes, a true story better than any fiction! It’s a lovely sentiment, and what a great guy. Hope she realizes he’s a gem!

  2. >Sunflowers are one of my favorites and yes, that is a sweet story, a super sweet story!
