The place we’re staying at is really quite well set up, but there are some essentials that every good kitchen needs.
And – given that we’re here for almost 3 weeks and we’ll be back before you know it, we’ve been shopping.
A slotted spoon for retrieving poached eggs.
A lemon zester.
A decent handmixer.
Well made bowls
And a coffee plunger.
The best place around here for that sort of stuff is Baku in Richmond.
And the person we first bumped into there was Lynda.
She’s terrific.
Don’t have the right colour plunger? (I’m not fussed, but some people are….)
She’ll order it have it there in a flash.
Lemon zester?
Choice of 3.
She was at Haven Fish and Chips last Friday and saw us, but didn’t want to butt into our conversation with Meg and Ben.
Wish she had.
The evening could only have been nicerer….

>Yup!
>Yes that lady from Baku Lynda is truely teriffic, I reckon one of the nicest ladies around.
>I know! Despite the lovely condo we're in, we've had to shop and add some of our favorite kitchen objects. Imagine…no wine bottle opener!! I think that the woman who owns our place must eat out ALL the time. Otherwise, everything is fine!! PS. Say hi to Ben and Meg for me. If she ever returns to St. Paul, we'll be sure to meet.
