Jochen Rindt, the Mainz-born racing driver who drove under an Austrian racing licence, would have been 70 yesterday.
The city’s finally woken up to the fact that they should do something and that “something” is a wonderful, small-scale exhibition in the Town Hall foyer, celebrating his (too short) life and his Mainz roots.
I might even have triggered the collective memory of the city with a post in 2010.
I´m a F1 fan, I´ve heard and read about Jochen Rindt althought I haven´t seen him in any races. Too far in time.
The picture is very good!
So…a racer got you back into the CDP fold so we can all embrace you again!! Checked the link; interesting man who died too young.
