Making tracks – #1533

Or lanes.

I feared the worst when the grinder came along a couple of weeks ago and skimmed off the bike lane markings on my direct route into the Fumée Grande.

Saw myself fighting off cars with my walking stick while pedalling frantically to escape, all the while cursing the City Fathers for their ignorance.

All is forgiven.

A WIDER cycle lane with spanking new markings.

On BOTH sides of the road, no less.

Excellent.

  1. I am intrigued by how the markings appear to have been carefully measured and marked up.
Is the speed limit observed by cyclists? Even with flash bikes?

    • carefully measured and marked up

This being Germany, the marking crew needs at least one member with a Masters degree

Is the speed limit observed by cyclists?

      Absolutely. By some, I’m told…

  2. Not a good idea to judge too quickly! The city fathers must have bowed to your bike preferences! Good for them!!
