Simplicity – #1645

The Potsdamer Hof is a vineyard restaurant on the outskirts of Bodenheim, a proverbial HSAAJ from Mainz.

We rocked over on Friday (the planned visit to Mainz’s wine festival in the park having been given a rain check on short notice as in “It’s pissing down – what do we do now..?..) with Helen and Prof.

Simple, good food. Their own wine. Cheap as chips.

The most expensive glass (0.2l) of wine costs €2.40. The most expensive item is bottled mineral water (this is Germany….they charge for water…) at €2.50.

But the best is the simple way they write your tab –  1 slip per group, 11 price bands, a tick per glass of wine, note down the food when it’s delivered, simple as.
