PS. Wrong state…should be Connecticut, but it could have easily happened in Ma, too, because of our insane proliferation of assault weapons.
Candles for the children and teachers who were massacred yesterday in Newtown, Massachusetts.
In addition to weeping and lighting candles, we need to light a fire under the asses of our politicians, President, and citizens to fight the NRA to legislate effective laws that will curtail the senseless violence in my country. Reformed measures for effective mental health identification and care is also needed. I hang my head in mourning and shame!
2nd advent candle, actually.
There are more weapons in the USA than people. It’s been let develop to this point and – sad as this is – what we’re seeing is the result of a blatant misinterpretation of the intent of the 2nd Amendment by the Supreme Court. You could pass alas tomorrow banning or regulating the possession of weapons and it wouldn’t make a blind bit of difference.
