Nicola’s Cantina #1831

This place is terrific.

Run by Nicola Cantrick, (r) formerly  at the Suter Gallery Cafe (who reckoned that Ms jb looked “too exotic for Nelson”) and baristeuse Sandy di Scianni (l, who tried to chat me up admired my t-shirt), it’s on the street front of  Edito on Vanguard in Nelson.

Tacos, burrittos and quesadillas with chicken/pork/beef/fish/vegetable.

Plastic plates, no cutlery, 4 desserts, everything eminently affordable.

Wouldn’t mind packing the whole place up and taking it with me…

  4. Despite its sign, “Mexican Street Food” I imagine it’s several notches above what you’d find on many Mexican streets. And, who wouldn’t enjoy the food when cooked and served by such friendly people you’ve photographed! No good Mexican food in Mainz?
