Rocking through Gonsenheim on Sunday afternoon when a gentlemen in white (with a veil, no less…) caught my attention.
That and a small crowd. At a safe distance on the other side of the road.
Beekeeper Ulrich Wrede from Ingelheim who was taking care of a flash crowd of Apis mellifera which had turned up from nowhere and was in the process of monopolising a lady’s front garden.
“I didn’t know what to do” she wailed. “Then I looked on the honey jar I bought on the market and called the apiarist”
Who called Ulrich Wrede.
“I hope I’ve got the queen bee” he said “Then the others will disperse in time. The queen bee’s a bit dimwitted, actually, but she’s the boss and she’s in charge”
“My boss is like that” ventured a bystander “It’s a lot like life….”
