And 5 years later….#1968

For 20-odd years, Senfkorn (“Mustard Seed – here’s the parable)has been a meeting point for folks with alcohol or psychological problems, where they could feel secure among their peer and support groups and get a 3 course meal on Sundays for €6. About $10.

Five years ago, Senfkorn’s landlord (the diocese of Mainz..) increased the rent and Caritas, a confederation of Catholic relief, development and social service organisations, withdrew its support.

They were forced to close and move elsewhere.

(The story from back then is here)

The property has been empty ever since.

This doth verily make the blood boil……
