There are 1600 Pandas in the world, says WWF and they appear to have gathered them all and plopped them down in front of the Staatstheater in Mainz.

Not very agile creatures, they just sat there looking mournfully at the hectic activities of the local photogs.

And looking famished, too.

Which is no real surprise, given that they only eat bamboo shoots and bamboo doesn’t grow very well in Germany.

So they’re probably ex-Pandas by now.

Oh, well…..
