…that the otherwise bankrupt city of Mainz raided the piggy bank and came up with enough small change to set up a Christmas tree in front of the Staatstheater.
And very nice it is too…..
And it came to pass….

The piggy bank didn’t run to lights….
It is a towering sight and must be especially beautiful when lighted. Our Christmas eve was quite lovely with 3-inches of freshly falling snow. Didn’t mind at all because it gave a storybook look to the evening. May you have a joyful day!!
