I don’t much care for them, either.
Nor am I particularly fond of the wind farms that sprout up faster than you can blink.
But if we want to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels (raises hand) or nuclear energy (doesn’t raise hand), you need to get power from renewable sources to where it’s needed.
Which means pylons and wires.
Lots of them.
I watched a TV program the other night (watched rather than listened because I started shouting at the bloody thing after a bit) featuring people saying stuff like “I’m all for renewables, but I didn’t think they’d put up wind farms/pylons/solar farms close to where WE live…”
Bloody NIMBYs…
You talk to and shout at the TV, too? I thought only my DH did that!
