The tour guide’s spiel went like this:

“OK, this is the meeting point” (Neglecting to mention that the  “meeting point” aka the Market Well is one of the oldest architectural formed decorated fountains of the renaissance and arguably the finest in Germany)

Over there’s a café where you can get coffee and cake, behind that’s the cathedral, over there is the Gutenberg Museum which’ll cost ya €3.50, over here is the fruit and vegetable market, back over there they have sausage and cheese and they have samples to try. Take as much as you want, but if you don’t like it, don’t spit it out in front of them.Turmn round and get rid of it somehow.

Be back here in twenny minutes”

The things you see when you haven’t got your gun….
