Feridun Zaimoglu is a 50 year old German author of Turkish heritage and the recipient of the 2015 Mainzer Stadtschreiber literature prize.

Which is €12,500 donated by the city of Mainz and 2 Mainz-based media channels and an apartment in the Gutenberg Museum for a year.

Don’t have to write a book about anything Mainz-esque during your residency, but they’d like you to make a film.
