Mainz is fairly well set up for public transport.

You can take a 51 tram in Hechtsheim, thrash down the middle of the Rheinhessenstrasse to the main station and then on via Gonsenheim to Finthen.

Or the 52 from Bretzenheim to Hechtsheim, where you can transfer to the 51 and do it all backwards.

Plus buses.

AND  rent-a-bikes.

Why would you want to stay at home…?

    Trams we don’t have here, but I’ve seen them in Toronto. Our transit system is buses and commuter trains.
