I don’t need much encouragement to visit St Stephan’s church with its seductively peaceful Chagall windows, but an unexpected and very touching invitation to Paul and Angela’s wedding yesterday made it a very special visit.
Paul’s become more of a friend than just someone to whom I go for my doppio and it was an event that we very much looked forward to.
They had a string quartet playing Handel and Bach, an excellent minister and just the nicest bunch of mostly young (but isn’t everybody these days…?) folk, with a reception on the church forecourt.
Good bubbly in nice glasses, individual pottles of hummus spiced with harissa oil and sliced baguette .
And of course his team of able baristas pumping out espressi as if their lives depended on it.
Understated and stylish.
But we didn’t expect anything different from Angela and Paul, to be honest…
Thank you for sharing this lovely pictures John! 🙂
A lovely service!
Lovely wedding. I know they will love having your photos JB.
Had to look up doppio …
Well, that’s what everyone – apart from 27.7m people in the SW Pacific call it….
