When the Wall Street Journal writes an article about the German craft beer scene, you know it’s getting some traction.
The latest on the scene in Mainz is Kuehn-Kunz-Rosen, drawing its name from Kunz von der Rosen, court jester and advisor to Emperor Maximillian I in the 15/16C and – by all accounts – a bit of a hard case.
And “Kühn”?
Audacious, spirited or adventurous.
Love the concept of moving away from the mainstream, where beer drinkers can’t even identify their favourite brand, because THEY ALL TASTE THE SAME.
And I love their beers.
Mystique IPA is a definite favourite.
Mystique IPA does catch the eye!
