Or- “Get well soon” as they say around these parts.
Which is what you’ll hear when you visit Monika Schmitt’s Andreas Apotheke (Andreas Pharmacy, named after St Andrew, the patron saint of the local church) here in the village.
Touch wood, I’m not one of their regulars and I mostly front up just to collect stuff for our 87 year old neighbour, but it’s always a pleasure to pop in.
Monika opened the pharmacy in 2004 and has a team of really nice ladies, today featuring the delightful Kathrin Maier.
They don’t just fill prescriptions – they’re there to lend a shoulder to lean on and an open ear for peoples’ troubles and they run errands around the village, delivering prescriptions to folks who aren’t mobile enough to make it down the hill and back up.
Even their lovely smiles have therapeutic powers….
The service you would expect to find in an independent local shop.
My kind of pharmacy. The women’s behavior is a model for all communities. I think I’d like that village!!
The locals can be a bit dodgy….
