Andrew van Leeuwen and I go back a long way.

Although it seems longer than just 3 years…..

We hit it off straight away and I was mightily narked when he headed back to Oz in March to fill the role as Australian Editor for motorsport.com

But he was back this week for a flying visit to visit Anna’s family (and to continue to be the albatross around Mainz 05’s neck, accompanying them the Leverkusen last night and causing them to lose an away game. Again.)

Met up at Kaffeekomune, had an espresso and a flat white (exquisitely created by Tony) and chatted for close to 2 hours.

Off he goes back to Melbourne on Sunday
