Don’t ever say that Germans have no sense of humour!
Here’s a nice little play on words. embedded in Klein-Winternheim’s 100 year celebration of the founding of the Music Society..
The various subsets – massed saxophones, minis, marching band, brass band, youth orchestra and big band – play at locations sprinkled around the village to the adulation of the groupies …er..proud Mums and Dads, grandfolk and sundry locals, fuelled by coffee and cake and undoubtedly meat blackened on a barbecue.
(Not quite sure how the later events are going to fare against Germany vs Curacao at 17:00, though)
This is in the cul de sac at the bottom of our subdivision and says – figuratively –
This is where it’s at!
and literally
This is where the music’s playing.
(Brass Band – 15:30)
I toddled down to one of the newer subdivisions to provide moral support to Nik, our 10 year old neighbour and Master Trumpeter,

joining a veritable throng of appreciative onlookers.

A high quality performance.
But we knew it would be, having had direct experience of Nik’s increasing skill levels over time…
