I used to have one of these.
For a day.
Guy I used to work with (he was in Los Angeles, I was in Frankfurt) told me that if I ever saw a Jaguar MkII in halfway decent condition for I’ve-forgotten-how-much, I should buy it and ship it over. (Worked for an airline – makes it economically viable)
Found one at my MG dealer, bought it, put it on the freighter.
Turns up in Los Angeles and the guy who’s doing the import documentation calls over and yells “Hey Gary, your car’s here”
Looks out of the window to see his Jaguar Mk2 coming off the high-loader.
I got to drive it for a day.
Makes me just drool to repeat the experience.

>Affentittenhammergeil! Fahrvergnugen!
>Yup, you probably cut a fine figure in that chariot. Smooth ride, I'd bet!
>Zoom-Zoom! That is a fine looking Jag, JB, and I enjoyed the story too.G
>Very very lucky… 🙂
>I never had one. Not even for a day. But, I did have a used Plymouth Valiant with ample rust . . .
>I'll bet you were looking good in that ride JB! :)V
