Ahoi #1840

My friend Alan Houghton (and married to my surrogate kid sister, Robby) is the proud owner of Raindance, a 30′ wood hulled cabin cruiser built in 1928.

We went for a cruise up the Waitemata harbour to the Riverhead Hotel a week ago last Saturday, accompanied by 2 rather attractive bowsprit figureheads.

A fine time was had by allIMG_4093

  1. Ahoi indeed! A great place to visit and must have been a great boat trip in our never ending summer (which seemed to just have let a bit of rain through). Been there, but I came on land.

  2. Oh, this trip on the boat looks wonderful!! Of course you had a lovely time!
