Reasons to like the Provence #1900

I mean, I know there’s the scenery and the wine and the food, but Nathalie who runs Avignon in Photos is also a pretty good reason to visit Provence.

We met 2 years ago when she was still living in Avignon and got on like the proverbial maison sur feu.

She’s evidently become significantly famous since then, because they appear to have named the village she’s moved to after her, which is a feather in anyone’s chapeau, I’d say.

Anyway, we had a most pleasant late afternoon together with her excellent friend Michel, lounging next to the pool overlooking the valley, talking about all and sundry and polishing off a bottle of wine before heading back down the hill (and studiously avoiding the hellhole that is Carpentras) on the way back to the palce we were renting.

As the philosopher John Whatley would say: Aren’t we lucky people….
