The cluster around one of our fruit and vege stands on the market – we have one for figs, red peppers and the herbs we don’t have in the garden, another for onions, Signora Anna for everything Sicilian and these folk for green asparagus and beetroot.

After a while, you get to know who’s good and who’s not so good.

(At least I didn’t get the “Oi, why are you taking pictures of my shoes?” intervention…although the biddy with the flowers was considering it….)
