Ronald Huckels must be the friendliest guy on the market in Mainz.
He’s usually there Tuesdays and Fridays selling organic sourdough bread and other goodies and I’ve never experienced him anything less than cheerful.
And generous.
Ms jb spied some little pastry/crumble thingies to have with coffee, wanted 2, he said “I’ve actually got 3” to which SHE said “OK, I’ll take them”
He then says “Oh, there are 4 – have that one for free, then. No good lying to your customers, is it?”
Neatest guy.
