The Good Oil (chen)

IMG_5739 IMG_5742

Just what the doctor ordered – a pop-up bar selling decent beer.

Leonidas Lazaridis und Philip Vogel, design students at the University for Applied Sciences in Mainz came up with the idea of taking over an empty building in the Gaustrasse next to Shakespeare & So and Lönnenberga, and highly appropriately the site of the Brauhaus zur Rose until 1845.

One type of beer (Märzen), no glasses, bare bones seating arrangements, donation if you like it.

Bloody expensive beer (if you’re as generous as we were…) , but a nice couple of kids and a really cool idea.

And good beer.
