New Year traditions

Not sure what relics you use in your cou de bois, but around here clover and chimney sweeps play a prominent role in the celebrations.

All for 99c at your local supermarket.

Oh, and Zinngiessen -pewter casting (no, NOT plaster casting…) – whereby a spoonful of molten lead is dropped into water and one is expected – in a presumably inebriated state – to identify a shape, refer to a chart and determine that it’s a sign of bad/indifferent/good luck by which your life in the coming year will be significantly influenced.

A bit like Rohrbach Rorschach (Thanks Fr.Dr.Prof) tests if you ask me….
