Been there…..

...done that going there.

This is the view from the cycle/vineyard track that runs from Lörzweiler (where my tame Saab mechanic Roland has his workshop) before you head down to the Rhine in Nierstein.

You’ll drop 100m over 1500 metres in about 3 minutes (and I was on the brakes for some of that).

Exhilarating isn’t the word for it, especially when you ease over for a fast-ish corner to see the road surface drift away in a reverse camber and your effective angle of lean shoots up by 10 degrees.

Bloody hell…

Wasn’t REALLY close to a spill, but closer that I’m comfortable with….
