Z…..

…marks the spot.

The Kulturufer (Culture Foreshore) in NQM Bingen is a highly successful conversion from a dire railway shunting yard to the stunning location for the State Horticultural Show a few years back and yesterday was exceptionally cool, despite the 30°+C temperatures.

The Culture Foreshore Festival featured jugglers, poets, medieval musicians, performance artists and a wide range of sculptures. including this one, involving an A, a Z linked with a particle accelerator driven by the human voice.

Your guess is as good as mine…

But the city’s used the bones of the 2006 show as the structure of an excellent park stretching a good 3 km along the Rhine, with permanent gardens, frequemt sculpture exhibitions, a number of quite good eating places and an excellent biergarten.

Any place with a biergarten‘s good with me….
