First game of the season (qualification game for the European League)and with a new trainer.
Not the best game I’ve seen, but definitely not the worst, (although Stefan Bell’s about as much use as a chocolate teapot) and there’s definitely hope in the form of Gonzalo Jara who plays beautifully weighted passes into empty space (that his co-players unfortunately aren’t capable of identifying. Yet). On the other hand, he scored an own goal and missed a penalty playing for Chile against Brazil in the World Cup, so first impressions might be flawed…..
But they won, which is the main thing……
