Flowers of the forest

The Ober-Olmer Wald is a 350ha patch of woodland that was – until 1991 – used by the US military for training.

These days, it’s criss-crossed with walking, cycling and horse tracks and a good place to keep fit and not get scorched to a cinder when the mercury edges up to 40°C.

This object might be a common or garden fungus.

On the other hand, it could be a WMD left behind by our friends …….
