In my defence, I plead clumsiness and a lack of perserverence.
Post nicely (TL;DR) written, photo selected, publish.
Out comes a fragment of the last sentence.
Sod it
This’ll have to do – heathen traditions in the village.
(I gave the trick’n’treaters an English lesson last night – told them that “Halloween” actually comes from “hollowin'” (which is the English word for “aushöhlen”) as in “hollowin’ out pumpkins”)
More fencers over here
Jilly has better eyesight than I. Enlargement did not do the trick for me.
Looks quite de-fenced to me, but maybe I should follow Jilly’s example and imbibe. You obviously celebrated Halloween in good traditional fashion. Pumpkin soup for the next couple of weeks?
Jilly I enlarged the photo and failed to see the fence but I’ll take your word for it. And then jb wouldn’t be jb if he didn’t trick us on a day like this !
🙂
Ha Nathalie, Well I think it’s a fence but then I’ve had a glass of red wine already and am about to pour another…
Clever you combining a fence (I saw it when I enlarged the photo!) and those scary pumpkins. Nice photo.
