Got chatting to these folk (who were deciding – in English (OK, American…)  – who was going to sit in the sun and who was going to get the shady chair at Café Novum on the Ballplatz

Turns out they were an American Airlines crew with an overnight in Mainz – from left Mollie (“with “ie””) Charlie and Catherine (“with a”C””).

And Charlie – gentleman that he is – let the ladies decide on the seating arrangements.

He could have pulled rank, of course, being the purser…….
